I haven't had a longer session of social engagement with a person in many months.

I don't exist anymore. Nobody cares for me yet they all expect me to care about anything they do and they feel entitled to it.

If I ever felt loneliness I would ask myself who I was and what I had done with the real me. Socializing can be fun, sure, but it's not fulfilling. Not like making something, for example.

Granted, making something is a form of communication unless you hide it, although not the same type of communication that "the company of other people" entails.
