[COMICS] What are you readening? [MANGA]

I started reading the National Quiz and Goodnight Punpun.
Goodnight Punpun basically about a bird who is attending an elementary school. Only him and his family are birds, but this plays no role in the plot and everyone either sees or treats them as humans. The story revolves around his family and school life where misfortunes happen at both ends.
The National Quiz is set in the future where Japan has become the most powerful nation. They've left democracy behind and adopted a new form of government based around the National Quiz. The National Quiz is a game show where contestants come on for their wishes to be granted. Thousands of contestants participate and are given impossibly difficult questions to answer. Those who manage to score enough points have their wish granted. Their wishes are often self-centered and hard to implement, but whatever it is, the Japanese government will carry it out with the help of their military. The plot mostly focuses on the host of the show, a man enslaved to host the show after previously losing the show himself.
I'd recommend both of them from what I've read so far. Not the sort of stuff I usually read, so it's a good change of pace.

I hope Akagi ends soon. According to its prequel-sequel Ten no toori kaidanji (or something) Akagi survives the fite against Washizu but loses all the money in the process. I want to see how it happens.

I started reading Kill Me baby. I was thinking that Yasuna should go make some regular, non-abusive friends, but what if nobody else wanted to be friends with her? It makes Sonya not seem so bad but Yasuna pretty pitiful.

Today I will start Genkaku Picasso

(幻覚ピカソ(げんかくぴかそ) Hallucinatory Picasso?) is a three-volume manga series by Usamaru Furuya (古屋兎丸 Furuya Usamaru?), a former doujinshi artist.

I really liked Short Cuts by the same guy so I am looking forward to it

I just bought Shaolin Cowboy: Shemp buffet because it's the best comic release this year.

I read all available scanlations of Naki no Ryuu and now I want more. It is especially good to read while listening to Japanese 80's music.

Bokura no Hentai ended, it was really good.

I just purchased the Kaijis and the Akagis at the Tsutayas and the Book•offs. Felt decent to finally what I have read since 2005 in the printed print.

Berserk, for the first time. At least I missed the boat ordeal.

I endorse Vagabond.

Finished Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita Nonbirishita Houkoku over waffles and beer this morning. It was cute and fun. Not quiet the same as everything else, but good enough in it's own way.

THE iDOLM@STER Platinum Stars is coming out July 28th.

How come we can get scans of the series Non Non Biyori spun off of, we can get scans of the Non Non Biyori Anthology Series done by different authors, but we can't get scans of Non Non Biyori?

Decided to start digging into my 1000+ volume Touhou non-h doujinshi collection. Miko Miko Suika is really cute and great. Does any one know if there are any decent Touhou doujins that focus on Shanghai, Horai, or Medicine? Not Alice stories, but stories about the dolls themselves.

Chaika the Coffin Princess, and Pandora Hearts.

I wish Ryuu in Naki no Ryuu would look up a little more often, but maybe he has a neck problem.

My favourite mangers take forever to get scanlated. *SIGH*

Fire Punch is the best new thing I've read in a while.

One Piece and Jojo :)

twgok

the art is really weird to me, the heads all look like quick sketches but the bodies are all really carefully drawn, and the musical instruments are unusually accurate

I was going to make the predictable joke, but Dragonball is an actual manga isn't it

The Violence Action is warm and kind.

Ojisama to Neko depresses the fuck out of me but I can't stop.

Oh and LATIN was wonderful.

A Trail of Blood (Chi no Wadachi) is the creepiest shit I've read in a while.

Just started reading Made in Abyss and for some reason I keep thinking of it as a japanese fantasy Roadside Picnic.

It conveniently skips Saidai Toonamento.

Beastars is quite enjoyable. Also, Kengo Hanazawa is my hero and everything he publishes I gobble down like it's metaphorical representation of his penis.

Berserk. Just started watching Arakawa Under the Bridge. Berserk is great, and Arakawa is really funny.

https://mangadex.org/title/23569/gokushufudou-the-way-of-the-house-husband

It's a comedy about an ex-yakuza's life as a house-husband. I rarely laugh when I read manga but while reading this one I did a few times, the panelling and the art are pretty great.

I watched the anime recently and decided to start reading the manga. I expected more shenanigans and one shot adventures where Oe never loses, not long arcs of philosophical conflicts, sex cults, NTR and crossdressing fetishes. Not to say any of this is bad, I'm having a great time, but I have no clue where the plot will go next. Either there's going to be some huge event where this dude transcends, gathers a following and becomes japanese Jesus, or it's going to devolve back into "STUDY STUDY STUDY" antics and fugging pretty girls

Right now I'm about halfway through the House of X/Powers of X TPB that came out awhile ago.
Turns out Hickman and all his crazy X-Men ideas aren't going away, so I might as well catch up on it.

I blazed through the whole of Garowdang. What a pity it went on hiatus before we got to see the main character fight the old man.
